Sisters Jen and Wendy Bernard reap the rewards of a musical upbringing, spreading the joy of song through interactive performance for kids. Their musical children's programs have enthralled audiences of all sizes, from the smallest bookstore to the largest auditorium. After four years of geographical separation, Jen and Wendy are reunited in Oregon and poised to sing once again.
Their performance style is best described as theatrical and wacky, with a constant focus on vocal harmony and crowd participation. The songs themselves are eclectic, and run the gamut from social consciousness to unmentionable green slime. Jen and Wendy create a whirlwind of positive enthusiastic energy, engaging kids and parents alike.
Jen and Wendy's performance history goes way back to their shared childhood in Northern Michigan. With both parents coming from very musical families, the girls were raised with daily exposure to music from a very early age. Attending the same university, Jen and Wendy established a repertoire of songs, and before long they were performing in front of diverse audiences. Their public performance experience includes Border's Bookstore, Jocundry's Bookstore, Okemos Nursery School, Roeper Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Lake City Elementary School, Greater Lansing Artspace, Lake Oswego Public Library, the East Lansing Art Festival, and the Cadillac ARts Festival, among many others. They've played for lots of birthday parties and private events as well. Recent local opportunities gave included countless Oregon and Washington library and special event bookings, including many concert series spanning all of the public libraries in Wachington County, Salem, Keizer, and Newport districts.
