Performer Bios

Jen Bernard works professionally as a music teacher and performer, teaching private lessons in voice, piano, guitar and flute, and performing regularly throughout the Portland area. She has taught a number of group music classes in schools and private homes. Jen is also a published songwriter with a independently produced album entitled Losing My Skin, and she performs on the Portland pub circuit. She founded, manages, and performs with the very active chamber folk ensemble, The Ariel Consort.

Wendy Bernard is a middle school educator, working in Beaverton after moving from Michigan in 1998. She holds a MAT with a Literacy Endorsement, and is currently teaching a grade 6 class. Wendy incorporates music into her instructional day as a tool for learning as well as a vehicle for pure fun.
